About Maria's House Montessori School

Our Mission Statement: At Maria's House Montessori School, we provide a safe, happy, healthy, and purposeful environment for all our students. Within these walls, we have created a home-like atmosphere which allows our students to become comfortable and at ease quickly in their classrooms. In accordance with the Montessori philosophy, children move freely and experience their environment while respecting the rights of others. At Maria's House Montessori School, we support high standards of education for our young students. We encourage our students to be productive and to share their talents with others. How Maria's House came to be... I come from a long line of Montessori teachers. I have a grandmother, an aunt, two uncles, and a mother who are Montessori educators. I have been a Montessori teacher for 15 years. I trained under Renilde Montessori at The Foundation for Montessori Education in Toronto, Canada. It has been a dream of mine to create an environment for children (mine included) where they could have a place designed just for them. For Maria's House Montessori School to be successful, it is imperative that the parents and the school work together for the benefit of the child. Our family consists of children, parents, and teachers. We welcome and embrace families of all faiths and cultures. Our resources and experience are available to all our families to assist in the growth and development of our students. I have searched for more than 10 years to find a place and a time that were right for me to open a Montessori school. When we happened upon the Community Presbyterian Church of Deerfield Beach, they welcomed us with open arms. Sometimes things feel very right and they develop easily; this is how Maria's House Montessori School has come to be.
