Mon. 16- 2 to 4 yr. olds begin school!

Mon. 6- Labor Day - No school
Sat. 18 - Parent Education - Language and Math, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. At least one parent is expected to attend.
October
Fri. 29 - Halloween Party and parade. Children dress up and trick or treat! Volunteers needed!
November
Tue. 23 - Thanksgiving Feast. - Each child will bring a small dish of their favorite food to share with friends. Dismissal is at 12:00 p.m.
Wed. 24 to 26 - Thanksgiving - No school.
December
Fri. 10 - Report cards go home. Look in your child's Friday Folder.
Tue. 14 - Piano Recital - 9:00 a.m. for students in Mr. Harris' piano class. Friends and family welcome!
Fri. 17 - Parent Teacher Conferences - No school (you may bring your child with you).
Sat. 18 - Winter Wonderland Performance and Family Potluck The children will perform for friends and family. Each family will bring a special dish. Each child will bring an unwrapped gift to give Santa for a child in need.
Mon. 20 to Fri. 31 - Winter Vacation - No school.

Mon. 17 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day - No school
February
Tue. 1 - Friend for the Day begins @ 9:00 ea. day- Children receive a schedule telling them when they will be the Friend for the Day. They may bring one thing, person, picture, pet to share with the class. They have approximately 20 minutes to speak to the class about themselves and to show their special "thing". Parents are welcome to come.
Mon. 14 - Valentine's Day - Card exchange and pizza lunch. Volunteers needed!
Mon. 21 - President's Day - No school

Mon. 14 to Fri. 18 - Spring Break - No School
April
Mon. 18 to 21 - Grade 1 testing - CAT 5
Fri. 22 - Spring Party and Egg Hunt - 12:00 dismissal
Mon. 25 - Easter Monday - No School

Wed. 25 - Water Play Day - children come wearing bathing suits, sun block and water shoes. Each child will bring a plastic bag with a change of clothes (names on labels please!). Volunteers are needed!
Fri. 27 - Grande Finale! - End of the year performance, Graduation and Brunch. 10:30 to 12:30 in Briggs Hall. VPK students must come to school for 9:00.
